Our team consists of registered clinical and/or educational psychologists, who not only have the professional qualifications and experiences, but also a warm personality and demeanour with a passion for making a difference in people’s lives. Our psychologists are fully registered with the Singapore Register of Psychologists. Our associate psychologists provide support to our psychologists.

Chad Yip is a registered clinical psychologist who provides psychological assessment and treatment for children, adolescents and adults. Chad is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society, (MAPS) and the Singapore Psychological Society, (MSPS). He is registered with the Singapore Register of Psychologists and is an approved supervisor. He is also a clinical supervisor with the James Cook University, Australia, (Singapore campus), clinical psychology team. Chad is currently a PhD candidate with the University of Southern Queensland, Australia and his research is on workplace mental wellbeing.

 

Chad has received training in a variety of psychotherapeutic interventions and is trained in providing psychoeducational and neuropsychological assessments. He practices with an integrative and person-centred approach, and is constantly expanding and updating his knowledge and expertise in the different modalities of psychotherapy. Having studied and worked in Australia and New Zealand, as well as a having a background in philosophy, Chad possesses a unique multicultural approach and sensitivity in providing therapeutic interventions to clients from diverse backgrounds. His experience also includes working with special needs, the disadvantaged and the forensic population. Chad firmly believes in the importance of developing and maintaining a strong therapeutic alliance with every individual, as well as valuing warmth and empathy in his journey with clients. He also believes that every individual has the potential to live a meaningful and productive life through the appreciation of his or her unique strengths and actualizing potentials.

Effie received her MA in Cognitive Studies from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom. She completed her training in basic and advanced Cognitive Behaviour Therapy with the CBT Australia.

Fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English, Effie is able to provide therapeutic, digital and customized interventions to clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Prior to joining Cognifyx Singapore, Effie worked with children, adolescents and adults in a variety of settings, including clinics; government and non-government organizations in different countries. Having studied and worked in China, Australia, the UK and Singapore, she is passionate about bringing psychological understanding to anyone in need.

Effie’s main focus remains in research; striving to understand human thought processes and exploring the latest brain health technologies to optimize interventions; continually building on her existing knowledge. She believes this combinative process of research and implementation will have a profound and positive impact on society.

Dewi is currently taking her Master of Clinical Psychology at James Cook University (Singapore). She brings with her a wealth of experience to help her clients on their wellbeing journey. Prior to her postgraduate studies, Dewi has worked in multiple settings in Singapore including forensics, restructured hospitals and with children with special needs. Dewi is particularly interested in mood disorders, PTSD, ADHD, Autism, and neurocognitive assessments.
